Carole Cullen, LMFT, is a Certified Gottman Therapist, Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT), and AAMFT Approved Supervisor with over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Based in Wake Forest, NC, Carole is the founder of My-Therapist, Inc., a practice devoted to helping couples rebuild trust, deepen connection, and create lasting intimacy through private sessions, intensives, and workshops.
Following 9/11, Carole received specialized training in grief, trauma, and high-conflict relationships, and was later honored with the Marriage and Family Therapy Training Award for her contributions to clinical education. She is also the co-founder of Couples Workshops NC, offering Gottman-based retreats including The Art & Science of Love and The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.
Carole frequently speaks at professional events and has been featured on G105 and the StayHappilyMarried.com podcast. She lives in Wake Forest with her husband and two children, where she enjoys cheering them on at the hockey rink and horse arena.

Shelly Hummel, LMFT, is a Certified Gottman Therapist, workshop leader, and founder of The Align Center for Couples in Raleigh, NC. With 25 years of experience, she specializes in couples therapy and intensives that help partners in crisis or transition reconnect and rebuild stronger relationships.
Shelly is the co-founder of Couples Workshops NC, where she leads The Art & Science of Love weekend retreats. She collaborates with The Gottman Institute in Seattle as a roving therapist, contributes to their “#AskGottman” series, and is a frequent guest on G105 as a relationship expert. In 2020, she received the David and Vera Mace Award for her significant contributions to the field of Marriage and Family Therapy in North Carolina.
She lives in Raleigh with her husband of 25 years, Joe, their college-aged daughter Sophie, and two beloved dogs, Coal and Rio.
